Type of Support

Overview

The Wisconsin Wetland Conservation Trust (WWCT) grant program, administered by the Wisconsin DNR, supports the mitigation of unavoidable wetland impacts through the purchase of credits. This statewide in-lieu fee (ILF) program, operational since November 2014, facilitates permittees or exempt project proponents in contributing to wetland conservation efforts. The WWCT program is accessible in all watersheds across Wisconsin, emphasizing the importance of preserving wetland ecosystems while accommodating necessary developmental activities. Prospective applicants are advised to consult with WWCT staff to discuss project alignment with available funding and service areas.
