The Target Foundation provides several local, national, and global organizations with grants each year.
Each year, Target donates millions in cash grants and in-kind product donations in the Twin Cities, including corporate giving grants to support local nonprofit organizations. The application for the Target Foundation hometown program is currently closed but will open in Spring 2022.
The Target Foundation hometown program concentrates its investments in organizations working to address the specific systemic and structural barriers facing Black communities, Indigenous communities and communities of color. They do this in four priority areas: entrepreneurship and small business, workforce development, housing and asset building.
In addition, Target has many Community Vitality Grant Programs that are by invitation only: Community Engagement Funds, Key Market Grants, and REACH Community Grants.

Through their global program, the Target Foundation invests in organizations that are building the capacity of people and communities to create livelihood opportunities that sustain long-term prosperity for families in emerging economies.
Though this grant is invitation only, Target invites organizations to share more information about themselves through this form if they believe their work aligns with Target’s commitment.
In addition, Target also provides relief organizations with local donations and funding.
