The Pleiad Foundation, based in Birmingham, Alabama, is a private family charitable foundation established in 1996. It is dedicated to supporting organizations within the Greater Birmingham and Central Alabama area, as well as endeavors that foundation members are personally interested in or involved with. The foundation primarily donates to non-profits, with annual disbursements made based on decisions taken in January each year. Since its inception, it has donated over 17.5 million dollars to between twenty and thirty non-profits annually.
