Overview

The Vocational Fund for Alaska’s Future (VFAF) grant program is designed to support projects that aim to create a highly qualified and skilled workforce in Alaska, particularly within the natural resource development industries. The program encourages the development of relevant skills among Alaskans of all ages in various disciplines including electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, welding, mining, engineering, geology, and other related fields. Scholarships are available through this fund to support the educational endeavors in these areas. Projects that enhance career awareness, employability skills, and encourage the acquisition of cross-sector skills are given priority.
