MPC is dedicated to supporting 501(c)(3) non-profit and government-related organizations and agencies through foundation grants, corporate contributions, sponsorships, and workplace giving and volunteerism. Preferred support goes to communities where MPC has a significant operational and employee presence, focusing on making a positive, measurable impact in workforce development, sustainability, and thriving communities.

Overview

The grant program aims to assist with workforce development by preparing individuals for professional success through access to educational, vocational, technical, and skilled trades training. It supports sustainability through environmental conservation efforts, including protecting natural resources, biodiversity, and enhancing air and water quality. The program strives to create thriving communities by funding projects that improve community resilience, address basic needs, support youth development, and promote economic vitality, including safety and disaster preparedness initiatives.

Submission

Review Criteria

Every year, MPC is approached by a large number of organizations seeking funding, yet only a fraction of these requests can be granted. We prioritize funding for initiatives that demonstrate tangible results and align closely with our strategic objectives for community investment and our areas of focus. Preference is given to projects that impact the communities in which we have a substantial footprint. The regions we specifically target include:

  • Alaska

  • El Paso, TX (including west Texas and southeast New Mexico)
  • Gallup, NM (encompassing central and northern New Mexico)
  • Mountain region (Colorado, Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming)
  • Northern California
  • Northern Great Plains (North Dakota, South Dakota, and Montana)
  • Pacific Northwest (Washington and Oregon)
  • St. Paul Park (spanning Minnesota and Wisconsin)
  • San Antonio, TX
  • Southern California
