Overview

The Changemaker Accreditation Grant supports the ongoing evolution and impact of the birth center movement by covering up to 100% of the initial accreditation fee or the annual fees for accredited birth centers through the Commission for the Accreditation of Birth Centers (CABC). This grant aims to honor the founders of this movement along with the innovators who continue to drive its progress. The American Association of Birth Centers Foundation (AABCF) oversees the grant's guidelines, criteria, timelines, and awards.

Submission

Review Criteria

Priority will be granted to birth centers showing any of the following qualities:

  • A dedication to support birthing individuals with low income and/or those who are on Medical Assistance
  • Located in rural or economically disadvantaged regions
  • Annual gross income below $100,000
  • A pledge to promote awareness and understanding of birth centers among the public
