American Baptist Women’s Ministries, affiliated with the American Baptist Churches in the U.S.A., aims to encourage and empower women and girls to serve God. They envision a world where every woman and girl can live into the fullness of God's purpose for her, through ministries of discipleship, leadership development, educational opportunities, economic sustainability, and addressing injustices that oppress women and girls.
The Women and Girls Mission Fund by the American Baptist Women’s Ministries provides grants to entities focused on addressing the oppression of women and girls worldwide. The fund supports broad goals such as enabling girls and women to achieve their full potential, overcoming barriers to education, healthcare, and employment, and combating domestic violence and sex trafficking. These efforts align with their commitment to discipleship, leadership development, and economic sustainability and aim to address systemic injustices oppressing women and girls.
Priority will be awarded to applications from organizations sharing a similar mission, which are registered as 501(c)(3) nonprofits according to the IRS and operate on a budget no greater than $300,000, or are associated with the American Baptist Churches in the U.S.A.
