The Arab Fund for Arts and Culture - AFAC, founded in 2007 by Arab cultural activists, supports artists, writers, researchers, intellectuals, and organizations from the Arab region in the fields of arts and culture. With programs spanning cinema, photography, visual and performing arts, writing, music, documentary filmmaking, research, trainings, and cultural events, AFAC champions the cultural production and creative expression of the Arab world.
The Training and Regional Events grant by AFAC is designed to support trainings and workshops across various cultural and artistic fields, as well as residencies, symposiums, forums, and festivals, including those focused on music, film, performing arts, visual arts, and literature. It offers annual grants between a few thousand to a maximum of 25,000 U.S. dollars for individuals and teams, and up to 35,000 U.S dollars for institutions and collectives. This grant aims to foster regional cultural development and collaboration through direct financial support.
