RMA: Small Research Grants

    From Royal Musical Association

The Royal Musical Association is dedicated to advancing the study of music in all its forms, including musicology, ethnomusicology, composition, digital music, popular music, performance, audio-visual creativity, contemporary practices, interactive music, and music technology, with a focus on supporting a diverse and inclusive community of music scholars in the UK.

    Type of Support

    Overview

The Small Research Grants program offers up to £400 each to support student members of the RMA and scholars without institutional support. The grants are designed to cover expenses related to research travel, presentation of work at conferences, reproduction and translation costs for publications, performance-related costs, and the purchase of specific research equipment or materials (with a condition for student members on equipment availability through their institutions). This initiative emphasizes the RMA's commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion by encouraging applications from a broad spectrum of music studies and supporting individuals from underrepresented groups.
