From Barberton Community Foundation

The mission of Barberton Community Foundation is to strengthen the Barberton community for current and future generations by providing leadership, fostering collaboration, and creating a legacy of giving to do good.

Type of Support

Overview

The Small Grants program offers support for initiatives where even modest grants can lead to significant impact. These grants, defined as $2,000 or less, are open to applicants at any time and are intended to support a broad range of causes within the categories of education, workforce and economic development; arts and community; as well as health and wellness. Applicants must submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) before being invited to apply. The program is designed to be responsive, with application questions tailored to the requested grant amount, ensuring that the process remains straightforward for those seeking smaller amounts. The review process involves Foundation staff and is finalized by the Board Chair. This opportunity is particularly aimed at benefiting the citizens of Barberton, supporting the local city schools, the City of Barberton, and eligible nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations.
