The mission of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation is to build stronger communities and improve the quality of life for all residents in the areas it serves. This involves supporting various charitable programs and endeavors, including the promotion of education, the arts, and community development.
The Artist’s Resource Trust (A.R.T.) grant program has a dedicated goal to assist mid-career visual artists by providing financial resources. Specifically, the grant supports artists over the age of 35 who have demonstrated significant development and commitment to their artistic endeavors. The geographic focus includes individuals living in New England (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont) and in areas of New York that are part of Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation’s catchment area as established in 2015. A.R.T. allocates funds annually to support the commission, purchase, or engagement of these mid-career artists through nonprofit organizations in New England, and Columbia and Northeast Dutchess Counties, NY, aiming to foster and promote their artistic growth and exposure.
