The mission of the California Native Plant Society (CNPS) is to conserve California native plants and their natural habitats, and increase understanding, appreciation, and horticultural use of native plants.
The Acorn Grant program supports area educators with the aim of fostering a practical knowledge of California native plants or plant habitats among K-12 students. This grant provides financial resources for purchasing native plants, related literature, and garden supplies. Its goal is to enable hands-on learning experiences for students in growing and caring for native plants, contributing to their environmental education and appreciation of California's natural heritage.
