CDC works 24/7 to protect America from health, safety and security threats, both foreign and in the U.S.
The grant focuses on sustaining and advancing the achievements Malawi has made toward the UN 90-90-90 epidemic control goals, with a particular emphasis on expanding the cohort of clients on antiretroviral therapy (ART). It acknowledges that despite overall progress, specific groups such as men, youth, and children have not benefitted equally. The program's objectives include implementing efficient HIV Testing services, enhancing Care and Treatment services (including ART, elimination of mother-to-child transmission of HIV, and care for opportunistic infections/Advanced HIV Disease), and expanding HIV Prevention services by connecting HIV-negative individuals to preventive measures like PrEP, especially among high-risk groups. The grant aims for progress towards UN 95-95-95 goals, improving the quality of care, increasing access to patient-centered differentiated service delivery models, facilitating longer-term medication dispensing, and reducing HIV incidence, with a focus on men and young women.
