The Colburn – Keenan Foundation, Inc. aims to enhance the health and well-being of individuals and families living with chronic illnesses, particularly focusing on those with bleeding disorders. It strives to be a perpetual source of grant funding for charitable organizations benefiting these communities, support families facing socio-economic and insurance challenges due to chronic illnesses, fund research for curing hemophilia, and provide scholarships for higher education to students with bleeding disorders.
The Family Fun & Connections Event Grant Program is designed to support events that strengthen community bonds and provide enjoyable experiences for the bleeding disorder community. Originating from a desire to give back during the Colburn-Keenan Foundation’s 10th anniversary, the program offers $1,000 grants for family or community events, such as low rope challenges, zip-lining, petting zoos, ice cream parties, and more. The grant aims to foster community strength, advocacy, and bring joy to families affected by bleeding and other chronic disorders. This program is available year-round, contingent on funding availability.
