Connecticut Humanities champions the enduring value of public humanities in our lives and civil society. It aims to inspire storytelling, lifelong learning, informed public dialogue, and civic engagement through grant funding and capacity building, ensuring that the public humanities strengthen communities and enhance the quality of life for all Connecticut's residents.
Implementation Grants are designed to support the execution of humanities projects at a stage where they are ready to be brought to fruition. These projects can range from exhibitions and public programs to interpretive digital media endeavors. The goal is to fund projects that have undergone thorough research, planning, and development, demonstrating significant humanities scholarship and content. Such projects should have clearly defined objectives that they aim to achieve during their lifespan. Additionally, although not exclusively focused on the arts or STEM, the grants are open to projects at the intersection of humanities with these fields, provided the humanities remain a central focus.
