The Dallas Foundation brings together people, ideas, and investments in Greater Dallas so individuals and families can reach their full potential.

Type of Support

Overview

The Better Together Fund Grants program focuses on encouraging and supporting formal collaborations between nonprofits and other entities like corporations or government agencies. The program emphasizes relationships that permanently alter how organizations operate, require board approval, and aim to improve services or operational efficiency. It celebrates not just successful mergifications and partnerships but also the explorative processes that lead organizations to better understand their potential for impact. To this end, the program outlines three types of financial support: Feasibility Grants to explore the viability of a collaboration, Planning Grants to develop a detailed cooperation framework, and Implementation Grants to execute the partnership. These grants range from up to $15,000 for initial explorations to up to $65,000 for implementing significant collaborative projects, with a portion of the funds allowable for general operational costs to ensure thorough planning and effective execution.
