Overview

The Health & Wellness Request for Proposal by Our Fund Foundation is designed to support initiatives addressing the unique health and wellness issues of LGBT people in South Florida. It aims to mitigate disparities resulting from social stigma and discrimination by funding programs that correlate with the needs and interventions outlined in their Health Promotion Research Report. Proposals should identify specific health and wellness concerns within the LGBT community, detail the affected population, and propose intervention programs or services to enhance their health and wellness.

Review Criteria

Priority will be accorded to:

  • Initiatives and groups running under the leadership and for the benefit of marginalized segments within the LGBTQ+ spectrum, emphasizing diversity in ethnicity, race, age, gender, gender identity, as well as physical and cognitive abilities.
  • Entities demonstrating active efforts to bridge the representational divide of marginalized groups among their governance, workforce, beneficiaries, and participants.
  • Proposals that maximize impact through collaboration with organizations sharing complementary goals, aiming to streamline efforts/resources and broaden the scope of services offered.
