The Claude C. Albritton, Jr. Scholarship is designed to support the field and/or laboratory research of graduate students pursuing Master's or Doctoral degrees. It aims to honor the legacy of Claude C. Albritton, Jr. by promoting research that integrates the Earth sciences with archaeology, reflecting Albritton's dedication to the application of Earth sciences in the archaeological field. The scholarship encourages interdisciplinary approaches, welcoming research from various disciplines, including but not limited to geomorphology, pedology, sedimentology, archaeometry, stratigraphy, paleontology, zooarchaeology, and the characterization of archaeological materials.
