The Golden Valley Community Foundation serves as a steward for community building. Its mission is to catalyze positive change in Golden Valley through fostering community engagement, providing recreation, supporting the arts, caring for the environment, and bringing visitors to work, shop, and play in the community.
Small Sparks Grants are designed to enhance the physical, cultural, and intellectual vitality of Golden Valley by supporting activities and events that strengthen the community. They encourage individuals to take action in creative and constructive ways, drawing upon personal interests. These grants, which can be for new or existing projects, aim to be a catalyst for positive change in the community. They support causes like community engagement, recreation, the arts, environmental care, and attracting visitors. Grants are limited to $1,000 or less per cycle, with applications accepted anytime and grants awarded in April and October.
