The mission of the Gratis Foundation is to support programs in education, health care, medical research, humanitarian services, and aid for abused and neglected children. It aims to assist U.S. Military personnel and their families, focusing on achievement, excellence, significance, or leadership in specific fields or charitable endeavors.
The grant program actively supports a range of causes across different time periods throughout the year. From October 1 to January 31, it focuses on health care and medical research (emphasizing children’s medical issues, heart disease, and Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma), alongside churches and religion. From February 1 to May 31, the program shifts its focus towards education (with a specific emphasis on need-based institutional scholarships), at-risk youth & families (including support for abused, neglected, and disadvantaged children, adoption & foster care, victims of domestic abuse, and homelessness), and international humanitarian aid. Finally, from June 1 to September 30, the focus is on U.S. military personnel and family support, animal welfare & advocacy, and food pantries & feeding programs. This program is designed to support organizations working within these specified areas during the relevant application periods.
