Type of Support

Overview

The Youth Leadership Fund is designed to support K-12 youth in Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity counties in California, as well as Curry County in Oregon. The program focuses on youth leadership development, especially in the realms of environmental and community responsibility and sustainability. Applicants must illustrate how their initiatives will benefit the local environment and community. Grant amounts vary, with a maximum of $1,500 available. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the year.

Ineligibility

Organizations with overdue grant reports to Humboldt Area Foundation & Wild Rivers Community Foundation
Entities seeking funds for deferred maintenance or annual operating costs of public institutions, churches, special tax district services, government operations, or cemeteries
Applicants aiming to cover expenses incurred before the grant award.
