The International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG) is a nonprofit organization committed to funding scientific research on gambling disorder. Since its inception in 1996, the ICRG has dedicated itself to the support of high-quality research proposals on this subject. Under the guidance of a Scientific Advisory Board comprised of leading independent scientists with expertise in addiction and related topics, the ICRG employs rigorous standards in its grant-making process to ensure the advancement of knowledge in the field of gambling disorder research.
The ICRG's Large Grant supports high-quality research investigations into gambling disorder and responsible gambling. Eligible applicants can request up to $75,000 per year in direct costs, plus up to 15 percent for Facilities & Administration costs, for a maximum period of 24 months. The total funding request for a project cannot exceed $172,500. This grant program is driven by the goal of advancing understanding and interventions for gambling disorders, under the rigorous scrutiny of the ICRG's Scientific Advisory Board to ensure only the most promising and scientifically solid research projects are funded.
