The ICGEB is an international, nonprofit research organization committed to promoting biotechnology internationally through advanced research and training in molecular biology and biotechnology, especially for the benefit of developing countries. It aims to elevate scientific standards, enrich educational environments, and enhance research capabilities among its Member States via training, funding programs, and advisory services. The focus areas include biomedicine, crop improvement, environmental protection/remediation, and the production of biopharmaceuticals and biopesticides.
ICGEB offers Short-term Postdoctoral Fellowships for collaborative research in its laboratories located in Trieste, Italy; New Delhi, India; and Cape Town, South Africa. The program aims to facilitate access to the latest research techniques and strengthen capacity building among scientists from ICGEB Member States. The fellowship includes a duration of 1-6 months, with financial support covering a monthly stipend, travel expenses, medical insurance, and necessary visa/permit application costs.
