Ensuring all students experience a world-class education.
The Iowa Computer Science Professional Development Incentive Fund aims to enhance the capacity of Iowa schools to deliver high-quality computer science education, aligning with the General Assembly's objective. By July 1, 2019, it is expected that every accredited high school in Iowa will offer at least one advanced computer science course, every middle school will provide exploratory computer science instruction, and every elementary school will teach the basics of computer science. The grant supports professional development activities for teachers in the field of computer science education, specifically targeting Iowa school districts, accredited nonpublic school systems, or collaboratives. These funds are intended to supplement existing financial resources rather than replace them.
