JFNY Grants for Arts & Cultural Exchange

From Japan Foundation, New York

The mission of the funder is to support projects that deepen understanding about Japan, promote cross-cultural exchange, and nurture global perspectives among K-12 students, teachers, and the community in the United States.

Type of Support

Overview

The JFNY Grant for Arts & Culture is designed to support non-profit organizations in the U.S., specifically within the 37 states east of the Rocky Mountains and Washington D.C., in organizing projects that promote the understanding of Japanese arts and culture. The grant encourages various forms of cultural projects such as performances, exhibitions, film screenings, and workshops. It extends to online projects that adapt to the ongoing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting activities like virtual exhibitions and performances, film streaming, and online conferences or webinars. Priority is given to projects with additional funding sources and those happening in areas with limited access to Japanese cultural events.
