Foss Foundation Grant

The June & Julian Foss Foundation aims to foster change in young people's lives, guiding them to become healthy, responsible adults. Established in 1997 by the descendants of June & Julian Foss, its mission emphasizes promoting philanthropy within the family and supporting societal values like family love, respect for diversity, intolerance of bigotry, generosity, integrity, self-reliance, self-esteem, spirituality, and a good sense of humor. The foundation particularly values programs that encourage an entrepreneurial spirit and a sense of curiosity and wonder in children and youth.

Overview

The June & Julian Foss Foundation focuses on grants that support children and young adults, including those with mental illness or physical disabilities. The grant program is designed to:

  • Strengthen family bonds.
  • Promote equality and respect for diversity.
  • Acknowledge the inherent value of self and others.
  • Encourage respect for personal values and those of others.
  • Improve individuals' capacity to recognize their own potential.
  • Enhance the ability for self-sufficient living. These principles guide the foundation's effort to support projects that align with its vision of a strong, diverse, and capable society. Generally, the foundation's grants do not exceed $5,000.
