Overview

The grant program gives priority to innovative, high-quality projects that promote sustainable development, leverage Roche's expertise and logistics capabilities, involve Roche actively with local authorities and partners from an early stage, and engage Roche employees in cultural, educational, and social activities. The projects must be managed by an accredited charity. The program's focus areas are Humanitarian and Social, Science and Education, Community and Environment, and Arts and Culture, supporting projects that contribute to humanitarian and social development, scientific engagement and educational opportunities for youth, community strengthening and sustainable disaster response, and innovative art and cultural projects that connect art innovation with science.

Ineligibility

Projects with a connection to religious, political, commercial, or image-building purposes
Projects requesting product donations outside emergency disaster relief
Professional or semi-professional sporting events
Mainstream cultural events
Charity fund-raising events, unless in exceptional cases and direct support is provided
Projects intended to replace or compete with government programmes
Responses to mass mailings, unsigned requests, or broad corporate broadcasts
Political donations, except in exceptional cases and only to political organizations in line with legal and ethical standards
Commercial projects, which are covered by Roche’s operating divisions as marketing expenses.

  • Provide avenues for Roche to leverage its know-how and logistical strengths
  • Ensure early and active collaboration between Roche, local governments, and skilled local partners
  • Facilitate the participation of Roche staff in cultural, educational, and social endeavors
  • Are orchestrated by a recognized charity organization.
