The Murdock Trust aims to enrich the quality of life in the Pacific Northwest by providing grants and support to organizations seeking to strengthen the region’s educational, social, spiritual, and cultural base in creative and sustainable ways.

Type of Support

Overview

The Murdock Trust focuses on transformational ideas that help individuals, families, and communities to flourish. With an investment of nearly $850 million into nonprofit organizations since inception, they support projects and initiatives that embody their mission of enriching educational, spiritual, cultural, and social spheres. The Trust gives grants to improve the quality of life in the Pacific Northwest, encouraging non-profits that aim to think bigger, challenge problems, and make a true difference. They support capital projects (including construction, renovation, and land purchase), equipment & technology upgrades, and program & staff expansions, with a preference for organizations that have secured part of the needed funds for capital projects and require recipients to cover a significant portion of the costs for equipment and technology.
