From Maine Office of Tourism

The mission of the Maine Office of Tourism is to stimulate and expand Maine's travel and tourism economy by coordinating the promotional efforts of the private sector with those of the Maine Office of Tourism itself and its Regional Destination Marketing Organizations.

Type of Support

Overview

The Maine Tourism Marketing Partnership Program (MTMPP) Special Event Grant aims to support marketing initiatives for existing, well-established events to help them attract new audiences, increase overnight stay, and extend visitors' length of stay in Maine. These events should reinforce Maine’s brand on a national and international level, generate a direct economic impact on the state’s economy, and boost visitation during Maine's shoulder season. The program awards two grants annually, with amounts ranging from $30,000 to $60,000.
