The Maryland Grain Producers Utilization Board (MGPUB) aims to enhance the profitability of Maryland grain production and promote public understanding of agriculture. Utilizing checkoff investments, MGPUB supports initiatives in education, promotion, and research to achieve these goals.
MGPUB is inviting proposals from universities, organizations, and individuals for projects that align with its mission. The grant program focuses on supporting education, promotion, and research projects related to grains such as corn, wheat, barley, sorghum, and rapeseed/canola, for which MGPUB receives checkoff income. Funding prioritization is generally aligned with the proportion of checkoff income received for each crop, notably corn, wheat, and barley.
