Merrick Foundation's grant making programs aim to provide financial support for projects and programs that enhance the quality of life for residents in Merrick County, Nebraska. The grant program is designed to be flexible, allowing for exceptions with board approval, and seeks to support inclusivity and equity. Organizations that offer programs open to all people in targeted populations may be eligible for funding, with the ultimate goal of meeting community needs through thoughtful, inclusive projects and programs.

Submission

Review Criteria

Preference for funding will be extended to:

  • Tax exempt organizations, government entities working towards public benefits that align with our key areas of concern, or entities holding an agency fund under the Merrick Foundation's umbrella.
  • Entities exemplifying significant community backing for their suggested initiatives.
  • Initiatives promising a sustained influence on the well-being of inhabitants and/or the environmental health of the Merrick County region.
  • Proposals with clear, achievable, and quantifiable objectives.
  • Appeals aimed at bolstering and enriching the community's resources.
  • Initiatives and organizations that not only draw additional financial support but also engage in partnerships and collaborative efforts.
