Type of Support

Overview

RTO Small Grants are intended to fund specific, one-time purchases of materials and supplies to support events, education, and outreach related to regional travel options. The grants aim to make small awards at or under $5,000 without the need for matching funds. They operate on a reimbursement basis post the project's completion and reporting. The program includes three funding categories:

  1. RTO Mini-Grants: Available to all who are eligible for RTO funding, allowing up to $5,000 per request.
  2. SRTS Mini-Grants: Designed for organizations operating Safe Routes to School (SRTS) programs, public K-12 schools/districts, and non-profit school PTOs, with up to $5,000 available per request.
  3. SRTS Micro-Grants: Specifically for individual schools or nonprofit school PTOs, with 25 grants available each school year, each up to $500.
