The Moderna Medical Education Program focuses on supporting medical education activities, scientific conferences, development of health care publications, and other educational and scientific activities. The grants aim to fund specific activities or series of activities over a set period and are open to applications on a quarterly cycle, provided the activities start more than 60-days after the application date. Eligibility extends to live educational programs accessible to a broad audience beyond a single institution's employees and educational materials such as publications, CD-ROM/DVD, and online activities, aimed at a wide audience.

Review Criteria

Applications for funding pertaining to both accredited (CME/CE) and non-accredited medical education programs are welcome. However, there is a fondness for supporting programs that hold accreditation. Submissions for funding of non-accredited activities should come directly from a CE Provider or from an administrator associated with COPE, or a relevant Medical Association/Medical Society. For grant proposals originating from a Teaching Institution (TI), it is advisable that these are dispatched through the institution's Central CME Office for consideration.
