Mulago finds and funds high-performance organizations that tackle the basic needs of the very poor.
The Henry Arnhold Fellowship aims to find leaders with promising conservation and climate solutions and assist them in designing and delivering these solutions at scale. The fellowship, oriented towards impact and scalability, selects 8-10 leaders annually to help them design high-impact scalable solutions and strategies, build organizations to deliver these solutions at scale, and integrate them into a growing community of innovators in conservation and climate fields. The one-year fellowship includes a design retreat, provides $100,000 in funding, and offers ongoing support. It targets leaders passionate about protecting nature and ecosystems, slowing down climate change, and adapting to new climate realities, focusing on a broad range of environmental issues from various global regions. The fellowship emphasizes a systematic approach to design for impact, aiming to turn great ideas into scalable models through smart R&D, replication to prove scalability, and eventually achieving scale via replication by others for exponential growth of impact.
