The Oklahoma Arts Council leads, cultivates, and amplifies the transformative power of the arts for all Oklahomans and their communities.
The Oklahoma Arts and the Military Grant program aims to empower organizations across the state to serve military-connected individuals through the arts. This initiative seeks to address the unique needs of Oklahoma's military community by providing grants up to $5,000 for new or ongoing arts programs that primarily serve active-duty service members, reservists, National Guard members, veterans, and their immediate family members and caregivers. The program's goals include creating more opportunities for military-connected individuals to engage with the arts and building capacity among Oklahoma organizations to offer these arts programs. Funding support comes partly from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Mid-America Arts Alliance.
