The Oregon Community Foundation (OCF) strives to increase Oregon’s cultural visibility and vitality by supporting unique opportunities for Oregonians to engage with innovative arts and culture.
The grant program focuses on supporting education-related initiatives within Douglas County, emphasizing the following areas: reopening of libraries formerly part of the Douglas County Library System with a priority on the Mildred Whipple Library in Drain, encouraging civic engagement and leadership development through annual grants to the American Leadership Forum for a Douglas County emerging leader, and supporting early childhood programs from prenatal to kindergarten readiness that address school readiness and healthy families. While these areas are prioritized, other educational projects in Douglas County may also be considered.
