Type of Support

Overview

The Emergency Relief grant program by PetSmart Charities is designed to support animals in the event of large-scale natural disasters in the United States and Canada. The fundamental aim is to facilitate rescue, relief, response, and recovery activities for pets impacted by these crises. This program provides cash grants that can be utilized for immediate sheltering needs, veterinary care, and support for staffing and volunteers working with affected pets. Assistance extends to purchasing necessary supplies for up to 30 days, covering medical expenses for required vaccinations and care, and funding staffing and volunteer expenses, including wages and lodging.
