PNC Foundation- PNC Grow Up Great

The PNC Foundation is dedicated to strengthening and enriching the lives of our neighbors in communities where PNC operates. The foundation aims to seed ideas, foster development initiatives, and encourage leadership in nonprofit organizations that enhance people's lives daily. A significant focus is on forming partnerships with community-based nonprofit organizations to enhance educational opportunities, especially in early childhood education, and promote community growth through economic development initiatives.

Type of Support

Overview

The grant program by the PNC Foundation, particularly through its signature PNC Grow Up Great initiative, focuses on preparing children from birth to age 5 for success in school and life. It emphasizes early childhood education and school readiness by supporting nonprofit organizations in areas such as vocabulary development, social-emotional learning, math, science, and the arts. The foundation prioritizes grants that benefit children from low- to moderate-income families and support initiatives in early education, including direct services, professional development for educators, and family/community engagement in early learning. Additionally, the foundation supports economic development organizations and initiatives that contribute to community growth, quality of life improvements, and services for low-and moderate-income individuals and families. This includes support for affordable housing, small businesses, social services, cultural enrichment, and community revitalization and stabilization.
