The Red Ants Pants Foundation is dedicated to developing and expanding leadership roles for women, preserving and supporting working family farms and ranches, and enriching and promoting rural communities. It values recognizing and cultivating a strong work ethic, encouraging and building self-reliance especially for women, educating the public on the importance of maintaining traditional work skills, and providing opportunities for people with different perspectives to connect, build bridges, and discover common ground.
The grant program by the Red Ants Pants Foundation seeks to award funding to organizations and individuals whose projects align with the foundation’s mission. This includes family farms and ranches, rural community enrichment projects, and women's leadership organizations that strengthen the Montana way of life. Specifically, the grant prioritizes projects that serve rural areas in Montana, demonstrate community support, are led by competent individuals or organizations with strong leadership capacity, and have a tangible impact on the quality of life in the local community. This includes community educational resources, gatherings or events, public spaces for communal activities, cultural education, training for local leaders, agricultural or civic organizations that support rural areas, and other community-important projects.
