Organizational Capacity Building Grants

Fostering an equitable and healthy Richmond region by promoting community safety and healing. This includes investing in mental health and wellness initiatives, addressing community violence through intervention, prevention, and healing initiatives, all with a focus on serving people of color who are disproportionately affected.

The grant program aims to enhance organizational capacity with awards ranging from $1,500 to $15,000, available on a rolling basis. It supports equity, inclusion, and community engagement, seeking solutions to eliminate health disparities. By investing in people, organizations, ideas, and solutions, the program works towards positive, sustainable change, emphasizing the need for inclusion in decision-making and actions that improve health outcomes equitably.

Review Criteria

Priority will be given to organizations that can demonstrate ongoing efforts and progress within their board and staff to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
