Staunton Farm Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of people who live with mental illness and/or substance use disorders. This involves enhancing behavioral health treatment and support by advancing best practices through grantmaking to non-profit organizations in ten southwestern Pennsylvania counties. Their vision focuses on investing in a future where behavioral health is understood, supported, and accepted.
The grant program from Staunton Farm Foundation aims to support projects that use evidence-based models, emphasize best practices, provide measurable outcomes, and work towards eliminating negative stereotypes associated with behavioral illnesses. Their current priority areas include collaboration, such as grants for working with multiple stakeholders and developing training programs; innovation, through grants that use evidence-based practices and technology to improve outcomes; advocacy, for promoting policies that improve treatment for underserved populations; and communication, aimed at educating the public about behavioral health issues and changing perceptions.
