Timken Company Charitable and Educational Fund Grant Program

From Timken Company Charitable & Educational Fund

The Timken Company Charitable and Educational Fund, Inc. (The Timken Fund) aims to support non-profit charitable organizations through grants. These grants are provided based on the organization's ability to meet specific charitable criteria and the availability of funds. The Fund focuses on making sustainable improvements and delivering measurable results in communities where Timken and its wholly-owned subsidiaries operate.

Type of Support

Overview

The Timken Fund Grant Program offers financial support to eligible, approved non-profit charitable organizations. The grants range from $500 to $10,000, with requests exceeding $10,000 requiring pre-approval from The Timken Fund Board of Trustees. Applications are accepted on a year-round basis, and grant allocations are determined based on the organization's alignment with the Fund's charitable giving criteria and fund availability. While the program focuses on supporting causes within the U.S., requests for international support are redirected to local Timken management teams. Occasionally, grants outside the typical guidelines may be issued upon majority approval from the Board.

Review Criteria

Priority is granted to entities that yield significant communal benefits in line with our trio of core interests. These include Education, Community Development, and Basic Needs. It's important to note, however, that support for initiatives addressing Basic Needs is more selectively awarded, as the majority of our contributions in this domain are channeled through partnerships with the United Way.
