The Community Response Grant is aimed at providing swift support for non-profit organizations addressing urgent needs in the community. This grant focuses on solving short-term emerging needs and programs, leveraging the United Way of Bemidji Area's extensive experience in community partnerships and resource connections to target the most pressing challenges and maintain regional strength and balance.

  • Alignment with at least one of United Way of Bemidji Area’s areas of focus: Education, Income, Health
  • Potential for solving an emerging short-term need
  • Evidence of non-duplication if other services/programs are currently available
  • Ability to attract or develop funds to continue the project after grant funding is exhausted
  • Agencies may only submit one grant application per calendar year; application should address the timeframe that the funds will be expended
