Overview

The grant program aims to assist communities and regions in developing and executing long-term economic recovery strategies following significant natural disasters. This includes both non-construction and construction projects tailored to meet the unique economic challenges in areas affected by presidentially declared major disasters, specifically as a result of Hurricanes Ian and Fiona, as well as wildfires, flooding, and other natural disasters that occurred in 2021 and 2022. Furthermore, the introduction of the Economic Development Grants Experience (EDGE) platform signifies a commitment to improving the grants management process through enhanced transparency, user experience, data quality, and efficiency throughout the grant lifecycle.
