The goal of the Advanced Laboratories for Accelerating the Reach and Impact of Treatments for Youth and Adults with Mental Illness (ALACRITY) Research Centers is to support the collaboration between clinical and mental health services researchers, behavioral scientists, social scientists, health information and communications technologists, health systems engineers, decision scientists, and stakeholders to carry out impactful studies. These studies aim to significantly advance clinical practice and create knowledge for the transformation of mental health care in the U.S. Specifically, the ALACRITY Centers program focuses on:

  • Optimizing the effectiveness of therapeutic or preventive interventions for mental disorders within specific populations.
  • Organizing and delivering optimized mental health services in real-world treatment settings.
  • Continuously improving the quality, impact, and durability of interventions and service delivery within various care systems. The program encourages research that maximizes synergies across the mental health research ecosystem, including clinical research, health care technologies, information science, and mechanisms for organizing mental health care.
