The National Institutes of Health (NIH), a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is the nation’s medical research agency — making important discoveries that improve health and save lives.
This grant, issued by NIAID, supports Resource-Related Research Projects (R24) that significantly benefit high priority projects requiring further coordination and support in specified areas. It also allows for the development of new resources for the broader NIAID scientific community in exceptional cases. The resources should aid in studying the biology, pathogenesis, and host response to microbes, including HIV; immune function and disorders; and the development of vaccines, therapeutics, and diagnostics for infectious, immune-mediated, and allergic diseases.
