The National Institutes of Health (NIH), a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is the nation’s medical research agency — making important discoveries that improve health and save lives.
The REACH Virtual Resource Centers grant program is designed to enhance partnerships and resources for research activities and training among U.S. complementary and integrative health institutions. These centers aim to support faculty at institutions such as schools of acupuncture, chiropractic, osteopathy, naturopathy, physical therapy, and music and art therapy. The goal is to bolster research capabilities, focusing on health promotion, resilience, disease prevention, symptom management, and whole person health, in line with NCCIH Strategic Priorities. The centers will provide a range of resources, including administrative and research support, grantsmanship, mentoring, training, and team building, to aid clinician scientists in developing interdisciplinary research teams and conducting clinical research that is eligible for external funding.
