The National Institutes of Health (NIH), a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is the nation’s medical research agency — making important discoveries that improve health and save lives.
The grant aims to support pilot data collection for early-stage testing of both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions targeting cognitive and neuropsychiatric changes stemming from age-related cognitive decline as well as Alzheimer's disease (AD) and Alzheimer's disease-related dementias (ADRD). It encourages research across the full spectrum of disease stages, from pre-symptomatic to more severe, and seeks to stimulate studies that improve trial design and methodologies.
