To foster health and well-being by providing federal leadership, partnership and resources for the compassionate and effective delivery of human services
This 5-year cooperative agreement aims to establish a Center to bolster the research and evaluation capabilities of Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Lead Agencies. Its primary aims include facilitating cross-learning among various research grantees, including the Child Care Policy Research Partnership grants, and broadening CCDF Lead Agencies' and the childcare policy research field's understanding through research synthesis and analysis. The Center focuses on promoting studies on childcare subsidy policies and quality improvement strategies to aid parents’ employment prospects, enhance low-income families’ access to quality childcare, support child development and readiness for school, and bolster childcare providers. It’s tasked with enhancing communication and collaboration among projects, developing shared research goals and methodologies, and disseminating findings to inform policy and practice at all governmental levels. The ideal team for this Center would possess extensive experience in supporting research and evaluation for Lead Agencies, a deep understanding of CCDF policies, insights into early care and education impacts, and a commitment to improving access to childcare for low-income families equitably.
