The SPF-PFS (Strategic Prevention Framework for Prescription Drugs) program aims to mitigate the initiation and progression of substance misuse and its associated challenges through the support of state and community-level substance misuse prevention and mental health promotion services. It focuses on enhancing substance use prevention across state jurisdictions for both individuals and families. The program emphasizes building and bolstering the capabilities of local community prevention providers, enabling them to deploy evidence-based interventions. This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) will be available for three fiscal years, indicating a sustained commitment to these prevention efforts.
